Directions:
- Open pouch and remove oxygen absorber
- Boil 3 cups of water
- Add Entire contents pouch of dehydrated beans, stir and reduce heat to a simmer
- Cover and allow to simmer for 20-25 minutes. Strain as desired and serve
- For flavor variations, try seasoning the beans with salt, pepper, onion, garlic or reduce the water to 1 1/2 cups and season the beans for a "sauce". can also be used with meat stock
It's best to store this emergency food in a dry, cool location — a dark area, if possible, at temperatures between 55°F and 70°F. Actual shelf life may vary based on individual storage conditions.

I ordered and received half of my emergency food promptly. When I called customer service, I spoke to a very helpful person who tracked down the other portion of my order and sent me AWBs for shipping tracking. He was great! Product came as expected. It would have been nice if it included one more black food storage container, as my order was large and now I will have to order another container for storage. Lastly, I would have given five stars, but at the beginning of my research/order, I began online and then ended up calling the sales team directly to assist. Her system didn’t show the same promo on certain items as shown online, her inventory count was also incorrect showing they were out of items that they showed in stock online and that I ended up ordering online and receiving, and the total amount due she gave me was higher than the total amount due shown online (after placing identical orders and the salsa person giving me various discounts). She was very nice and helpful, just seems that their front end and back end systems are not consistent. Overall though, good experience and would order again! Haven’t tried the food yet, but happy with the variety and assortment of recipes and plant based options specifically!
