Organic Kale: Lacinato Planting Instructions:
Plant Lacinato Kale in full sun or partial shade. Direct sow in early spring or midsummer for a fall crop. Kale plants do best in rich, well-draining soil. The seeds should be planted 1/4 to 1/2" deep and spaced 4" apart. Cover with a fine soil, firming lightly and watering gently. Once the plants are established, thin to 8 to 12" apart. If transplanting for fall crops, prepare the bed by turning soil under to a depth of 8".

Organic Kale: Lacinato Harvesting Instructions:
For a sweeter flavor, harvest kale after the first frost. Once they reach 6 to 8" long, harvest the outer leaves. Harvest should take place about 65 to 80 days after planting. Do not harvest the central bud. It will produce new leaves.
