Organic Cucumber: Sumter Planting Instructions:

Plant the Cucumber seeds 3" apart in groups of 4 to 6 per hill and cover with 1/2 inch of soil. Space hills out by 3 to 4' and plant in full sun. When the seedlings are 1 to 2" tall, thin to 3 seedlings per hill. Cucumbers love heat and cannot endure even a light frost. If the temperatures threaten to get cold, make sure to cover the seedlings. Use mulch to control any weeds and conserve moisture. Cucumbers do not transplant well.

Organic Cucumber: Sumter Harvesting Instructions:
Slicing Cucumbers are generally ready to be harvested when they are 6 to 8" long. If you plant to pickle your cucumbers, harvest them when they are 3 to 5" long. Cucumbers are at their best-tasting when they are harvested young, before the seeds fully develop. Cut the fruit from the vines instead of pulling. If you pull the Cucumbers off the vine, you risk damaging the plant.
