Solid Piece of gear, with some caveats.

"This thing at first glance is smaller than pictures seem to make it. "How much can this actually do?", you wonder as you remove it from the box and plastic wrapping. I took mine camping to test a lot of gear that I've gotten from MPS. This little stove really packs a punch and cooks well. The temperature is VERY hot, and can with with either USB battery plugged in, or via AA batteries. I used the later this time. That being said, this thing goes through fuel quickly. I feel it would benefit well from a "bigger brother" model. Keep a good supply of extra fuel around while cooking that has been cut to a small enough size, as the burn pit area is rather small. Remember to always test your gear before you need it!"

"The Insta-fire Inferno Pro is a pretty nifty little unit, easy to take with you anywhere, put in your vehicle, your motorcycle, on your bicycle or even a larger backpack! Take it camping, tailgating, use it at home or at the park or beach. It truly is a travel ready unit. Awesome camping stove

"It's a great stove if you just need heat for up to ten minutes. When trying to cook bigger meals, I have to pick up the pan and add more sticks to fuel the fire. I think it would be even more awesome if there was some way to add sticks while simultaneously cooking. This is not a huge issue because, usually, I will only be boiling water or cooking individual meals on it. Great purchase. The fan is a game changer"

The unit uses Vortex Technology. Designed in consultation with an aeronautical engineer, the fan system creates a vortex flame generating controllable heat from 425-1200 degrees. Do you have to hook it to a power source? Will a solar charger work?
The Inferno PRO Outdoor Biomass Stove by InstaFire will work without a power source, but works better when the fan is on using a power source. It has to be a USB charger.
