Food Storage Flexibility - See Two Great Choices
So Many Ways to Use Bulk Emergency Food
Here at My Patriot Supply, we believe that one of the best ways to serve loyal customers like you is by giving you options.
When it comes to preparedness planning, there is no single solution that fits everyone.
Over the past year, we've been working hard to give you more options for emergency food - including ways to customize your food supply.
We have over 38 recipes, many of which come in two unique packaging options.
One question we get about our bulk emergency food is "what's the best way to use this?"
Oh, let us count the ways.
When it comes to buying emergency food in bulk, most folks are looking for more flexibility in their preparedness supply - and of course, more of their favorite Patriot Pantry recipes.
We offer two unique packaging and storage options in our bulk emergency food. Below, I'll discuss the different features and benefits of each, and how to use them to their maximum potential.
This year, we introduced a new way to buy emergency food in bulk: case packs.
Each case pack includes multiple pouches of one recipe or ingredient. The benefit to this is that you can preserve the shelf life of your emergency food in the unopened pouches. Just use what you need and keep the rest stored and unopened for up to 25 years of shelf life.
Simply put, our case packs were designed to take the "bulk" out of bulk emergency food. Each pouch in the pack is lightweight and easy to carry.
Great ways to use case packs:
- Hiking, camping, fishing and hunting trips
- Keep an extra pouch or two in your cabin, car, RV or boat
- Easy to barter with
- Freeze-dried fruits are great for snacking at picnics, little league games, scout meetings and more. Kids love them!
- Buy extra of recipes that picky eaters like
- Stock up on sugar, bread mix, honey and more - perfect for bakers interested in preparedness
- Perfect for giving a sample to friends and family
- Build your own "Go-Bag" with your favorites
- Eat in a pinch when you forgot to plan dinner (it happens)
This is just a short list. In fact, we love hearing about the creative ways customers like you use them.
Now onto our classic bulk emergency food option...
If you've been into preparedness for a while, you're probably familiar with #10 cans. If not, it's basically a restaurant-sized can - about 5 times the size of a soup can.
There are many reasons why folks love #10 cans. They're easy to stack and store. #10 cans are perfect for large groups - especially if you have some hungry teenagers at home. They're also a favorite of home chefs and those with special dietary needs.
Great Ways to Use #10 Cans:
- When you have more people than expected to feed
- Perfect for bartering between groups
- Unexpected visitors? Open a #10 can!
- Great item to donate during charitable campaigns
- Hosting an educational party featuring emergency food
A Note on Storage
Now that you know there are limitless ways to use bulk emergency foods, just one quick note on storage. Both our case packs and #10 cans have a shelf life of up to 25 years, but it's always a good idea to keep them in a stable environment for optimum storage. This means a stable temperature, low humidity and modest protection from critters and bugs.
2nd Note: Nutrition
While buying in bulk gives you the option to completely customize your food storage plan, it's important to think about getting a complete balance of nutrients. You need a variety of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals to survive - and no plan should be without it.
Whether you want to stock up on case packs, #10 cans or a mix of both, we can help.
