Remove the empty upper chamber, steadying the old filter in one hand. Reach beneath the filter and remove the wing nut holding the unit in place. Slide out the old filter and discard it. WHEN USING BIOMASS MATERIAL: Biomass MaterialThe type of biomass used will help determine how much heat is generated. For example, sticks and twigs will burn quickly and produce a lot of heat quickly. However, they also burn out quickly. Charcoal briquettes require more time to get up to temperature but will give a more steady and long-term heat. Adjust Air-Control KnobSimply twist the Air-Control Knob on the front of the oven to adjust the temperature. Here’s how to cook them using the included flameless heaters: Open the box and pull out the flameless heater bag. Tear open the flameless heater bag, then slip the packaged meal inside. Add enough water to reach the fill line. Be sure not to overfill. Fold over the top of the flameless heater bag, then reinsert it into the box it came in. (The bag will heat up quickly, so act fast!) Place the box at a slight incline, such as perched against a rock or tree. Allow it to sit and cook for 5-10 minutes. Once cooked, remove the flameless heater bag from the box. Both the box and packaged meal should be warm to the touch.
