Hurricane Ian brought a giant tidal surge to SW Florida and incredible wind damage (150 mph wind).This makes all the news and it’s heartbreaking to watch. In the aftermath of hurricane Ian I can tell you that preparing matters. I have been buying food and products from you for nearly a year. Every month I spent a small amount so I wouldn’t notice the money gone.After the storm I never had to leave my house for supplies.The first two weeks we had no water or electricity. People who didn’t prepare got a dose of reality and suddenly my wife thought my purchases were a great investment. We had all the food and water we needed and fed quite a few neighbors. Luckily the surge wasn't too high in my area and sandbags kept the water out. My life hardly skipped a beat and now I just have to clean up all the debris. I am blessed and very lucky, but preparing doesn’t hurt either. Lesson for next storm, more water, can’t have too much water, dumping buckets over your head for a shower is no fun either.
